Introduction

AI is moving fast, and it’s not always easy to know what comes next. So we take it step by step: build what helps people right now, keep learning, and keep improving.

A strong foundation helps. With structured data, consistent processes, and one unified platform, we can integrate AI in ways that feel natural and relevant for users.

AI in Omega 365 today

Knowledge Packs – making your information easier to use

Projects create a lot of information. Knowledge Packs help collect the important parts and make them available in a simple way.
Open Omega 365 Chat, choose a pack, and the AI gives answers based on your own documents and data.

Less searching, more clarity and a better overview.

Below you can see an example of a knowledge pack in action. A package consisting of data relevant for cost management is used as basis for analysis and reporting:

AI Assistant – showing up in more and more apps

This is quietly becoming one of the most important areas of AI in Omega 365.

The AI Assistant is now available in several apps — and spreading fast — helping users understand information, work with data, and move quicker without sacrificing quality.

The assistant can:

  • Explain what you’re looking at

  • Suggest how to interpret a dataset

  • Summarize what’s on screen

  • Help identify patterns, issues, or outliers

  • Provide context around fields, attributes, and requirements

  • Generate follow-ups or actions based on what you see

And maybe most importantly:

The AI Assistant can interact directly with the grid

This opens up new opportunities.

Users can ask the AI to:

  • Filter the grid

  • Group data

  • Sort on key fields

  • Highlight unusual values

  • Summarize key figures or trends

  • Suggest how to restructure the view

Instead of searching menus or adjusting layouts manually, you can simply tell the AI what you need — and it performs the operation inside the grid.

This lowers the threshold for exploring data, especially for users who may not be experts in pivoting, grouping, or filtering.

You can also speak with the AI...telling AI what you want.

AI Chat - Quick answers from your own content

AI Chat is built into Omega 365 Chat.
You can ask questions in a simple way and get answers based on your own content.
If you choose a Knowledge Pack, the AI will use the documents and data you selected to give more accurate and relevant replies.

It’s a fast way to understand what’s going on, get a summary, or check details — without digging through menus.

AI-Assisted Risk Management

Risk work is naturally complex and information-heavy. Today, AI helps users:

  • Identify potential risks across multiple datasets

  • Assess risks with suggested probability, consequence areas, and mitigation measures

  • Improve titles and descriptions

  • Spot duplicates or inconsistencies

  • Run automated health checks on the register

  • Update assessments directly in the system (with full user control)

For many teams, this removes hours of manual clean-up and strengthens quality across the board.

Also, in the Risk App, you can get direct help, both to improve title and description, and to complete filling in attributes, performing risk assessment.

AI-Powered Document Import

A new app reads your documents, extracts metadata, identifies revisions, and helps you import material far more efficiently than a manual process ever could.

It’s already in internal use and evolving quickly based on real-world feedback.

AI in Pivot Builder

We are about to release a new pivot builder app, with integrated AI support. It can help you generate charts and visualizations, organize the data and explore insights.

Fully Automated Release Notes

Omega 365 is updated daily. Instead of compiling release notes manually, the system now generates them automatically using AI:

  • Feature requests

  • Bug reports

  • Change descriptions

The AI processes these and keeps the release notes up to date — continuously.
Not always perfect, but improving every week.

What Could Be Coming

AI is moving fast, so we try to stay open, practical, and realistic about what might come next. Some of the areas we are looking into already show a lot of potential:

AI Assistant in more apps

The AI Assistant will likely appear in more parts of the platform.
The idea is that users can get help directly where they work — not only in risk or pivot builder, but also in contracts, cost, schedule, interfaces, scope, and more.

The assistant could help:

  • explain the data on screen

  • highlight changes or trends

  • point out things worth checking

  • suggest follow-up items

  • interact even more with the grid (filtering, grouping, sorting, summaries, and simple analyses)

Step by step, the Assistant could become a natural support tool across the whole platform.

Smarter Knowledge Packs

Knowledge Packs already bring structure, but they can become even more helpful.

Possible next steps include:

  • live indicators from cost, schedule, and risk

  • better understanding of technical documents

  • deeper support for contract analysis

  • automatic “health checks” on pack content

  • more pre-defined prompts for typical tasks

Over time, packs could feel less like something you look into — and more like something that actively helps you.

Stronger use of AI Chat

AI Chat may get closer ties to the rest of the system.
For example, asking the chat about a contract topic could open the relevant document or pack.
Or asking about status could pull in live numbers from schedule and cost.

Chat could also help with:

  • explaining fields or concepts

  • finding the right document faster

  • turning answers into tasks or follow-ups

  • giving small “quick checks” on content

In general, chat may become a simple entry point to explore or understand your information.

Better document understanding

Document Import is only the first step. AI could help with:

  • recognizing document types

  • suggesting metadata

  • identifying key requirements

  • spotting differences between revisions

  • helping break down long documents into tasks or follow-ups

This can help reduce manual interpretation and make document handling faster.

More decision support

AI can help surface things that are easy to miss:

  • missing risks

  • changes in cost productivity

  • trends in incidents

  • dependencies or conflicts in schedules

  • potential issues in contracts or scope

This can help project team to catch things earlier.

Domain-aware AI

Different areas of the platform speak different “languages”:
engineering, contracts, HSEQ, operations, cost control, scheduling.

In the future, AI could adapt better to these disciplines and give more relevant suggestions depending on context.

Small things that add up

Some improvements may be small, but still valuable:

  • better tooltips and field explanations

  • more automatic summaries

  • inline suggestions inside forms

  • smarter detection of duplicates

  • cleaner descriptions and text proposals

Often, it’s these small improvements that save the most time.

Conclusion

Our long-term vision is to continue what defines Omega 365 today: a platform that evolves step by step, adapts quickly to new technology, and provides a stable foundation for both daily work and large, complex projects. We want to stay modern without creating disruption for our users, and keep delivering a platform organizations can rely on for many years to come.
AI is already, and will continue to be an important part of this development.
Exactly how it will look in the future is hard to predict, but Omega 365 is investing time, funding, and top people to make sure AI becomes a natural and trusted part of the platform. The goal is simple: use AI in a way that helps users, improves the product, and supports the way our customers work.
