The weekend began with a visit to the first day of the First Ashes Test. The team met for breakfast and drinks at The Reveley before travelling by private coach to Optus Stadium. They arrived in time for what became a remarkable start to the Ashes, with play unfolding in a way that quickly earned the match a place among standout moments in cricket history.

“It was a memorable day for the cricket with 19 wickets for the day,” says Susanna Connell, Business Support Manager. “Supposedly the most wickets taken on the first day of an Ashes Test since 1909.”

The following evening, the team gathered for dinner at Frasers Restaurant in Kings Park. Managing Director Emma Ireland and Technical Manager Peter Butt shared a few words about the year before the meal. The evening provided a fitting opportunity to reflect on the activity of 2025 and conclude the year together as a team.
