Having joined the team just a few weeks ago, Reece is already getting to know colleagues across the Omega 365 organization—both in Australia and abroad. 

“It’s been great meeting new faces, not just from Australia but from all over the world,” he says. “There are many new names to learn, and I’m enjoying the process.” 

A global perspective 

Reece has built his career across continents, having worked in Japan, Korea, China, Papua New Guinea, and various parts of Africa. In Australia, his experience spans every state capital city except Tasmania. His professional background includes operations, commercial leadership, and roles focused on business transformation, change management, project delivery, and general management. 

“I’ve held roles as a General Manager, Chief Operations Officer, director, consultant, and change agent,” he explains. “I’ve been fortunate in my career—there have been highlights and challenges. I’ve learned a lot, often through mistakes.” 

Originally from Perth, Reece was educated in both Australia and Japan. At age 12, he spent time as an exchange student in Miyazaki—an experience that sparked a lifelong appreciation for global cultures. Now, he’s eager to learn more about Norwegian culture. 

“Norway is different from both Australia and the many countries I’ve worked in. I’m curious and excited to explore it.” 

A structured approach to transformation 

Reece’s approach to business is grounded in careful planning and a clear sense of purpose. When applying for the role, he proactively developed a 100-day plan to demonstrate how he could contribute to Omega 365 Australia’s growth. He discovered the opportunity through a job advertisement and later connected with Recruiter Julie Goodwin from the Omega 365 Australia team. 

“I take every day as if it’s my last,” he says. “I set tasks and goals and work to achieve them. I’m organized—I like to plan the work and work the plan.” 

Reece is a firm believer in balancing career ambition with personal well-being—an ethos that aligns well with Omega 365’s values. 

“One of the things I appreciate most about Omega 365 is the focus on work-life balance,” he says. “For me, it’s always been about working to live, not living to work.” 

Looking ahead 

Outside of work, Reece enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and playing sports. With his strategic mindset and diverse background, he is already making strides in his new role, helping to drive transformation efforts at Omega 365 Australia. 

“You learn by making mistakes, and I’ve made many,” Reece reflects. “But that’s how you grow. My goal is to leave things better than I found them—for the next person who comes along.”
