Practical learning in Completion Management

Ensuring that digital systems support real project needs requires close collaboration between customers, end users, and technology providers. To support this, Omega 365 hosted Aker BP’s Suitcase Course, bringing professionals together for hands-on learning focused on Completion Management Systems.

The sessions highlighted the importance of aligning system functionality with established business processes.

The Suitcase Course is an Aker BP–designed classroom course focused on project completion and quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on Completion Management Systems from Aker BP’s business perspective. Built around real project scenarios, the course encourages learning through practical exercises, dialogue, and shared reflection on how systems are used in daily project work.

A course built on collaboration

The primary target group for the course was personnel working directly and indirectly with Aker BP within Completion Management Systems. The course was also opened to additional Omega 365 employees, including colleagues working with Completion Management Systems solutions and personnel from the PES domain supporting project planning, execution, and follow-up across multiple clients.

Bringing together developers, consultants, and end users created a valuable arena for cross-functional learning. This mix of perspectives enabled open discussions and a shared understanding of how technical solutions can better support operational needs, strengthening alignment between system development and real project workflows.

Completion Management Systems in project delivery

Completion Management Systems play a key role in project completion documentation and status reporting across Aker BP projects and formed a core part of the Suitcase Course. Through hands-on exercises and classroom discussions, participants explored how these systems support quality assurance, transparency, and efficient project execution throughout the completion phase.

The sessions highlighted the importance of aligning system functionality with established business processes, reinforcing how close collaboration between customer and system provider contributes to improved usability, reliability, and long-term value.

Strong partnerships

Department Manager Giovanni Di Noto highlighted the value of the collaboration following the session in Klaipėda.

“A big thank you to the Aker BP ASA Completion team, especially Cedrik Harbo and Max Kruse, for delivering the hands-on Suitcase Course in Lithuania. Thanks also to colleagues in Omega 365 Software who supported and facilitated the session.”

“The close and long-standing collaboration between our organizations makes it possible to work towards common goals, share experiences, and support end users in delivering projects with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality,” he concludes.
