Colombian delegation visits Omega 365

The participants were affiliated with Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia—an institution recognized for its strong academic programs in engineering, management, and innovation. The delegation represented a broad range of sectors, including energy, education, logistics, IT, manufacturing, health, banking, insurance, fashion, transport, and the public sector. Several participants are involved in strategic research and development, digital transformation, and the implementation of new technologies in their respective organizations. The visit formed part of a broader European program aimed at fostering international collaboration, innovation exchange, and academic–industry dialogue.
During their stop in Bergen, the delegation was introduced to Omega 365’s integrated project management platform. The session included a live demonstration of the software’s key features, focusing on estimation, project control, benchmarking, Monte Carlo simulations, and the full project lifecycle—from planning to execution and reporting. A particular area of interest was how Omega 365 manages and analyzes data to support complex decision-making, and how this approach contributes to long-term project success.
The visit was initiated through academic connections and marked a valuable opportunity for cross-regional knowledge sharing.
“We had a highly engaged group visiting our Bergen office, with many questions and a strong interest in how we apply digital tools across sectors,” says Jarle Gjerde, Department Manager at Omega 365 in Bergen.
“South America is a region of growing strategic interest to us, with a strong industrial foundation in areas such as energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Engaging with academic institutions and business professionals from this region opens valuable opportunities for collaboration and expansion. It also helps strengthen the international understanding of what Omega 365 offers and how our tools can support a wide range of industries.”
For Omega 365, the visit was a meaningful step in building ties with a region experiencing rapid economic development and increasing demand for digital project tools.
